Unfocused, but fruitful.

This third week we explored various careers, from counselling, copywriting, writing, publishing, to journalism. From talks to visits e.g. RTHK, I feel so much more secured as we learn more about the nature of work, the current employment situations, and most importantly, the job entry from the guest speakers. This is really nice.

In Journalism, we get to try some "real work" and really understand the nature of work. Then I clearly understand that this career is not suitable for me. Not now, not ever. I do not see the value of news normal people do. The negativism in news is too much for me, and sensitivity is totally lacking in me.

Despite the above, it feels nice knowing what is good for me and what is not.

Further example, I find comfort from doing translation. After trying some "real work" with Doris too, I know translation is my thing. The very strive for the best words and lexical arrangements totally suit my personality in a way.

Now I know more about myself, what I want, and what I am best at.
