This is the first week of the summer camp. Before the summer camp, I did not have much expectation towards the camp as I thought that it would be boring and meaningless. However, after these five days, I have learnt a lot and my horizon have been broadened. Especially the visit of KFBG, it was an eye opening experience.Laughing

Herbs

The first activity at KFBG was a tour of Eco-Garden and   Fruit Forest. I had a chance to see different fresh fruit trees at   the Fruit Forest. After that, we headed to Eco-Garden to   harvest some fresh herbs to make my own special herbal tea.   The herbal tea did not taste very well but I still thought it was   amazing as it was my first time to do something like that.

Besides, I had an opportunity to touch a living snake. It was the most memorable part of the day as I never touched a snake before and I thought it would be scary. But it was not because it was a wonderful experience and the snake felt so smooth and soft. Snakes are somehow adorable. I thought that we should learn how to admire different animals and treat them well.

I learnt more about food ecology in the farm too. The introduction of food ecology made me think more about my food choice as it relates to the nature and the health of the Earth.
