After the first week of the summer camp, I found the visit to KFBG the most interesting and the rest of the activities were mostly helpful but a bit boring and torturous.

The first day were theintroduction to journalism and Putonghua test. The former included variations of journalism and the occupational information. The introduction to Putonghua test informed me the details of the tasks which we should pay attention to. During the introduction, we tested our skills of listening and pronunciation, which was helpful for us to evaluate ourselves and seek further improvement.

The second day was KFBG visit. In this trip, I were impressed by the talk about 'Holistic Education' and 'Food'. I was motivated to be a vegetarian after i heard of the fightening data of factory farming. We were told to contribute our effort to make the world a better place, by maintaning a environmental diet everyday. Also, we were brought to visit animals and pick some herbs to make herbal water. the natural flavour was pleasant and fresh!

The third day were the workshop of Translation & Interpretation, the introduction to Putonghua solo verse speech, and the introduction to drama. The workshop showed us the common mistakes of translation in our daily life. It was laughable! However, the drama part was about some skills in playing drama. I found it very boring because it were new to me. Mr Chiang invited some of us to act according to different scenarios, which add fun to this drama part.

The forth day were the workshop of Translation & Interpretation, and the visit to JW Marriot Hottel. The tutor illustrated how to be a decent translator. Next, the visit to JW Marriot was so enjoyable and we were informed the development of hotel industry.

The last day of the first week were the wrokshop of Putoghua solo verse speech and drama. We were given time to practise the speech that we had chosen before. We had to ensure that we pronounce every single word correctly. Also, we were told to express the emotion through the speech. Then, we act the fairy tale ---- Cinderella with Mr Chiang. It was so much fun.
