The movie I watched is <Three Idiots>. The film is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani. It is an interesting and meaningful movie mainly about the existing education system in India.

The main characters in this movie are Rancho, Farhan and Raju. They arrive at a premier engineering institute to begin their course and become best friends. Rancho is a clever student. He really loves engineering and does very well in the institute. Although Farhan and Raju study in the same subject, they do not like it actually. They study there because of the pressure from their families. Rancho then helps his friends find their goals. Farhan loves and goods at photographing, but his family do not support him because this job cannot earn much in the future. Rancho encourages him to be honest to his family and gets the opportunity of working with a well-known photographer. Raju faces big financial pressure from his poor family. He studies hard to get good marks for his future. However, many incidents come up to him, so he chooses to jump down under a big pressure. Luckily, he does not die and learns a lesson from life. He does not believe fortune and wear the lucky rings anymore. He gets a job by his talent in a competitive interview. After helping his friends, Rancho leaves without words. Farhan and Raju then want to find him out but they find that Rancho hides something from them. Therefore, they start a long journey to find Rancho, and find the secret of him-he was helping a rich person to get the certificate of the institute. Finally, they find him and his school. It is a school that encourages students to do different science practices etc. It is a happy and special ending.

The film is really amazing. After watching this film, no one will forget “All is well’’-the words that can always hear from Rancho. These simple words remind us to listen to our heart and believe in ourselves. People study and work hard for things that they do not really interest in to have a good future. It is a kind of ‘tragedy’. We should chase our dreams and goals instead of walking blindly with the trend. Otherwise, we may regret after years.

The book ”The Terminal” is based on a man－Mehran Karimi Nasseri's real experience in an airport with no means to get out. Viktor Navorski is a traveler like Mehran who arrives at New York's JFK but cannot go anywhere because there is a civil war breaks out in his homeland. He is a stateless man at that time. He cannot leave the airport or go back to his home. With no money and friends, he needs to find a way to live in the airport to wait for the end of war. His first thing to do there is to learn English so as to communicate with people around, and most importantly, to be able to read the CNN headlines to get the latest news in his homeland. His English improves quickly by studying guidebooks. Moreover, he “earns” money by collecting trolleys of the travelers and getting a job with his excellent carpentry skills. He soon makes Gate 66 as a place to stay.

Over the months living in the terminal, Viktor meets a lot of people. He makes friends with a funny janitor Gupta Rajan who likes to watch people fall on the slippery floors newly washed by him, and a food service worker Enrique who likes a customs agent Torres but fears of seeking his love due to his social station. He also meets a beautiful flight attendant Amelia Warren who falls in love with a married businessman. He helps them all in the book. At the end, he can get the last signature of a band member to achieve his goal－completing his died father's dream.

It is a relaxing book with meanings behind. This book tells us about human spirit. Although the main character does not have any supports in the beginning of the story, he never gives up and tackles all problems that he faces there. He not only finds his way to survive in his special situation, but he also gives his helping hand to others in need. For me, the greatest scene is Viktor helping a visitor to get his medicine back so as to rescue his dying father. Viktor shows his intelligence and braveness at that time to help the visitor. Although it is a simple scene, it shows us a contrast between laws and sympathy. Sometimes people only focus on how the laws and rules say, but they forget the main things that support the society－love and sympathy. People put them behind to protect themselves from troubles. This book simply reminds us do not give up in difficulties, and keep giving our helping hands to others. Love and care are really needed in the society.
