CHI WANG KWONG

  Summer camp, held for 20 days, started from 4rd June to 29rd June. What a long event. In the first week, I just remember I took some talks about translation, some workshops for Putonghua drama and recitation, visted South China Morning Post and two introductions to Putonghua Test. It seems very much meaningful. 

  First talk about interesting things. Being a "newsholic", visiting SCMP entertained me so much. It was the first time I could take a tour to a newspaper factory, knowing the printing procedure, cutting mettod and the distribution thing. But it is a little bit unfortunate, because we could not have a little meeting with editors. If it came true, it would be more beneficial.

  On the other hand, Putonghua drama and recitation was keeping rehearsal. It was an unprecedented experience for me because it was the first time to take part in drama and recitation, especially in Putonghua. During continuous rehearsal, we were becoming increasingly well in the performance. Looking forward to the show on coming Monday. 

  In translation talks, I have learned more about translation factory. And I understood that this factory is not my cup of tea. Translation career gives me the impression that low salary, boring, harsh even it can be diversified in many other factorys.
